Simple pleasures

This past weekend was one for the books! Why you ask… We didn’t do anything special or out of the ordinary. We didn’t have any BIG plans or go anywhere we hadn’t been before.

We simply just spent good, quality time together.

Not that our time spent together isn’t always awesome… However, sometimes the stresses, annoyances and nuisances of day to day life often get in the way of that deep, intimate, undistracted, one on one time with our loved ones.

We went to the gym (SHOCKER). We went out for date night which consisted of a fancy pizza, upscale mac and cheese, overpriced [but delicious] dessert and a few glasses of Rose’. We went to the beach and played in the sand together. We rode around town – windows down, music on with nowhere to go. We had mimosas over brunch. We folded laundry together. We watched a really good movie at the house {that I picked it out – GO ME for once}. We got wrapped up in meaningful conversation and laughter.

Not only did we have some beautiful days together, but we were reminded why we’re still in love with each other, why we make such an awesome team and why taking time to connect and rekindle is SO important.

Here’s a peek at a few of my absolute favorite weekends here on the island, thus far [click on the links below to watch]!

Just as a plant needs water to survive and thrive, so do relationships. So no matter how busy, tired and stressed you are… Take the time to invest in your relationships. I promise, you will be amazed at how a little extra tender love and care can vastly change, grow and improve your relationships. You will never regret putting time and energy into the people you love.

Keep cultivating!
